Mohammed is an experienced Data Scientist in both the academic and professional aspects of machine and deep learning. Today, by profession Mohammed Kuko is a Data Scientist in the Business Intelligence group at ViacomCBS where he helps build models that guide business decisions. Before that he practiced Data Science in the academic realm and published 2 conferences and a journal paper on using Machine learning to identify and predict cervical cancer in its infancy while completing his Master’s.
In the backdrop of his professional and academic career he helped build up Sahaba Initiative, a non-profit focused on bringing direct services to the Inland Empire’s disenfranchised community. Alongside the team he has helped nurture the community through Sahaba Initiatives financial assistance program, mental health efforts, and food pantry, serving thousands of individuals every month. While helping manage the logistics for Sahaba Initiatives food pantry he co-founded Pantri, a simple to use food pantry management software that gives food pantries the power of machine learning and data analytics to help food pantries in the battle against food insecurity.
