The murder of George Floyd at the hands of four police officers is yet another tragedy, symptomatic of a widespread disease.

The entire Sahaba Initiative team expresses steadfast solidarity with the family of George Floyd and the broader Black community in the US, and offers deepest condolences to the loved ones of all such innocent victims of brutal police violence. We stand with our brothers and sisters against senseless killings, hate, and bigotry.

We have lived in and served in the inner city for over ten years and are witnesses to the systematic issues that destroy lives. We call upon everyone to take these five actions put together by our partner organization Islah L.A and make a change in our community.
